And if you're looking to get outside for a good cause on Thanksgiving day, join the Adirondack Health 5K Turkey Trot in Lake Placid, NY. This run/walk starts at 8:30 AM at the Beach House and benefits local food pantries and the Fit for Life Program. You can also bring non-perishable food items to donate to the cause. Details below:
How to Participate
- Register: You can sign up for the 5K Turkey Trot on RunSignup.
- Check-In: Pick up your bib and T-shirt on Wednesday, November 26, from 4-6 PM, or on race day from 6:30-8 AM.
- Donate: Bring three or more non-perishable food items to the event.
- Run/Walk: Start the 5K at 8:30 AM on Thanksgiving Day, November 27.
