You can book directly on our website for the best rates and no hidden fees. Simply choose your home, select your dates, the number of adults, children, and pets in your party,and follow the secure checkout process.

Bookings canceled at least 60 days before the start of the stay will receive a full refund less a $50 cancellation fee (due to fees charged to us by credit card processors).  If a booking is canceled or changed less than 60 days before your arrival date, then no refund is provided.

No.

Yes! All of our homes are dog-friendly 🐾. Some homes have fenced yards, and most allow up to 3 dogs. Please check individual property details for pet fees. A couple of properties include fenced yards and outdoor spaces for your pup. Please bring a sheet to cover the furniture to keep the dog hair off of it.

Yes, a one-time cleaning fee is applied to each booking. This ensures the home is professionally cleaned and sanitized before every stay.

We highly recommend guests purchase travel insurance which provides a refund for the expense of your trip in the event you need to cancel due to unexpected events. As hosts, we have seen guests cancel due to unforeseen circumstances more often than they might think. We sometimes get late cancellations with guests requesting a refund after the period has expired. As a small business, we're unable to provide refunds for late cancellations since it's usually impossible to re-rent the home at short notice.  We do provide an option to purchase travel insurance during the booking process.

A deposit of 25% of the total booking amount is due at the time of reservation to hold your dates. The balance is charged 35 days before arrival.

Our homes are located  near Whiteface Mountain, Wilmington,Jay, and Lake Placid. Each property page includes an interactive map.

We recommend bringing a car, as public transportation is limited in the Adirondacks. This allows you to explore lakes, trails, and villages more easily.

Lake Placid and Wilmington both have grocery stores, gas stations, and pharmacies within a short drive of our homes.

Yes, all the homes provide free on-site parking for 2+ cars. Larger homes can accommodate more.

All of our homes include fresh linens, towels, starter toiletries, salt/pepper, and fully stocked kitchens (blenders, baking pans, pot/pans, etc). 

Yes! Every home has high-speed WiFi and Smart TVs so you can stream your favorite shows or work remotely.

Yes, hot tubs are professionally serviced before every stay and available year-round. Saunas are also maintained for year-round enjoyment.

Yes, propane is provided for those homes that have gas grills. Firewood for outdoor fire pits is available at most homes to purchase or can be purchased locally.  Charcoal must be purchased by the renter.

No.

Family get togethers that fit the size of the home are permitted. No parties or weddings.

Some home have it, but you just need to ask and we will make sure it is available.

A couple of properties include fenced yards.  Adirondack Alpine Cabin and Adirondack View Lodge both have fenced-in yards.

Yes, we highly recommend AWD or 4WD vehicles in the winter months due to heavy snow and mountain roads.

Whiteface Mountain is just minutes away, and Mount Van Hoevanberg is about 20 minute drive. Both are excellent for skiing and snowboarding. Mount Van Hoevanberg is for cross-country skiing and Whiteface for downhill fans.

Guests love kayaking on Lake Eaton, hiking High Peaks trails, fishing, swimming, mountain biking, and attending local festivals. Lake Placid has dining and shopping and in the Summer the Sinfonietta plays at Mirror Lake. 

There are several local outfitters near Lake Placid and Wilmington that rent outdoor gear. We’re happy to provide recommendations after booking. See our Seasonal newsletter for details. 

Popular events include Ironman Lake Placid (July), Oktoberfest at Whiteface (late September), Flaming Leaves Festival in October, and the Winter Games (February). See our newsletter for more information.
