Whether it's hiking, paddling, swimming, mountain biking and more, North Country Summer has your favorite activity covered!

The Adirondack Mountains are an absolute playground for anyone looking for incredible natural beauty, exercise, relaxation and just plain fun! 


Check out Lake Everest at Wilmington Town Beach for swimming, paddling, a children's playground, pavilion with BBQ grills and restrooms. You can even enjoy free live music every Thursday in July and August from 6 pm - 9 pm. In Lake Placid, Mirror Lake Beach is the place to be for all this, with free live music every Tuesday from 7-9 p.m. at Mid's Park.


While you're in the area, be sure to get out and explore the multitude of Adirondack trails!  There are serene hikes with gorgeous views for every skill level, from short, easy paths to strenuous, long hikes. A few favorites are the Wilmington Forest Flume Trail System which is wonderful for hiking and mountain biking (as well as cross country skiing and snowshoeing in Winter) - click the link below for details:

You may also wish to explore the Cobble Lookout Trail, a short and scenic hike in Wilmington, as well as Cascade Mountain, one of the 46 Adirondack High Peaks, in Keene. For more trekking ideas check out:

And totally worthwhile is the Whiteface Veterans' Memorial Highway to the top of Whiteface Mountain. Whether you choose to drive, cycle or hike to the top, the views are monumental!! See below for details:
